Geogest, an interactive website that explores new forms of cartographic interaction, was created based on an examination of the power and impact of maps. The website uses a matchmaking algorithm to match hand gestures drawn by the user with lines on maps and align them accordingly. In a playful way, it questions the linearity with which urban spaces are planned, built and mapped. Geogest combines cartography, digital interaction and performative elements to create an experimental space that breaks with the usual way of dealing with maps and opens up new perspectives.
